Debbie DeLong - Director

Debbie brings over 28 years of childcare experience to our North Forsyth location. Before joining the White Oak family, she spent 16 years as the director of another childcare facility, remaining there until the owners decided to retire. She began her love for the industry as a cook at a childcare facility in 1981 and quickly decided this was her calling. Since then, she has served as a teacher, assistant director, and director for facilities in and around the Atlanta area. In 2007, Debbie joined the White Oak family and quickly helped it become the premier facility in North Forsyth.

Debbie's favorite aspect of White Oak:
"I've worked for many different childcare facilities. White Oak is special because it's run by family. It's not a corporation. Our bottom line is how a child is progressing, not profit."

Christian Peterson- Assistant Director

Affectionately called "Ms. Chris" by her students, Christian Peterson joined the White Oak family in 2008 as North Forsyth's assistant director. With over 15 years in the childcare industry, she has held positions as an assistant teacher, lead teacher for a Pre-K program, and teacher of American Sign Language. Adding to her diverse background is Chris' experience with developmentally disabled children in a group home setting.

Ms. Chris' favorite aspect of White Oak:
"It's like home for our students. We pride ourselves on being friendly and making the students comfortable when they can't be at their own home."
